1" Basalt Fiber 6 lb. Bag

Basalt fiber is a material made from extremely fine fibers of basalt, which is composed of the minerals plagioclase, pyroxene, and olivine. It is similar to carbon fiber and fiberglass, having better physicomechanical properties than fiberglass, but being significantly cheaper than carbon fiber.

1.) If using either the Basalt Fibers, AR Glass Fibers or Structural Fibers, simply sprinkle them in intermittently while mixing cast materials in bucket to your desired level.

2.) If utilizing the Basalt Rebar materials, strategically place the rebar pieces in the backside of the mold, making sure not to vibrate the mold to vigorously so that the rebar does not sink to the surface of the mold and be exposed upon de-mold.
